Short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser and never send what you type. The only personal information this site ever receives is an email address you choose to give it, and the details Stripe needs if you buy something. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.

Every tool on this site — notice deadlines, quorum, special levies, voting thresholds, records deadlines, reserve fund and depreciation report dates, the minutes generator — runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. The meeting dates, unit counts, unit entitlements, budget figures and text you enter are used to calculate an answer on your device and are never transmitted to this site or to anyone else.
Two consequences worth knowing. Nothing you enter is stored anywhere I can see, so I cannot recover it for you. And closing or reloading the page clears it.
Inside the paid Board Starter Pack, checklist ticks are saved in your browser's local storage and template drafts in session storage, both purely so your progress survives a page reload. That data stays in your browser, is never transmitted, and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
What is collected: your email address, and nothing else. There is no name field, no organisation field, no strata number.
Why: to send you the compliance cheat sheet and to tell you when legislation covered by these tools changes.
Who processes it: the list is hosted by beehiiv, in the United States. Your address is sent to beehiiv along with a tag recording that you subscribed from this website, so I can tell which pages bring subscribers. beehiiv records ordinary email delivery events such as opens and clicks.
Unsubscribing: every email carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also write to hello@knowyourstrata.com and ask to be removed, and I will do it and confirm.
What never happens: your address is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with any advertiser, sponsor, manager, lawyer, insurer or other third party. It is used for the list and nothing else.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout, never on this site, and this site never sees or stores them. Stripe collects what it needs to take a payment and meet its own legal obligations, including your email address, billing country and card information, and processes it under Stripe's privacy policy.
What reaches this site after a payment is limited: confirmation from Stripe that a particular checkout session was paid, which of the two packs it was for, and your email address so the access link can be sent to you. The access link email is sent through Resend. Purchase records are retained for accounting and refund purposes.
This site sets exactly one cookie, and only if you buy something.
kys_accessThere are no advertising cookies, no social media cookies, no cross-site trackers and no fingerprinting scripts anywhere on this site. That is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first by design: it uses no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, does not track people across sites, and reports only aggregate figures such as how many times a page was viewed. I use it to see which tools are actually used. It cannot tell me who you are.
Alongside that, the site keeps its own small count of five things: a calculator being run (and which one), a Starter Pack page being opened, the checkout link being clicked, an address joining the list, and a pack being bought. I use it to see which tools are worth building more of, and whether anyone who opens the pack page actually buys it.
It is worth being precise about what that does and does not involve, because it would be easy to write "we use analytics" and leave you guessing:
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, the URL requested, timestamps — in order to serve pages, block attacks and keep the site up. That processing is Cloudflare's, under its own terms, and is not used by me to build any profile of visitors.
This site is operated from the United States, and beehiiv, Stripe, Resend and Cloudflare are all United States companies. If you are in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or the European Economic Area, information you give this site is processed in the United States and may be accessible to United States authorities under United States law. Subscribing or purchasing is your consent to that transfer.

This site is built for condominium and strata boards and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who processes it, the date below changes and the change is described in the next email to the list. There is no version of this policy that permits selling your information; that is not a promise I intend to revisit.
